Cashmere Tops
Cashmere tops belong to the in-between hours: the warm afternoon that cools by evening, the office that never quite settles on one temperature. We make ours from organic Mongolian cashmere, light enough to sit close against the skin and warm enough to keep on once the air turns.
Each cashmere top for women in this collection is cut to be worn alone in summer and layered beneath a coat when the season changes. Tanks, tees, polos and turtlenecks share the same soft hand, so the choice comes down to how much of the day you want covered.

What Makes a Mongolian Cashmere Top Different
Fiber With a Place of Origin
Our cashmere begins in Mongolia, where herding families comb the soft winter undercoat from free-roaming goats by hand each spring. That fiber is long and fine, which is why a women's cashmere top from our collection feels smooth against bare shoulders rather than scratchy.
At 4 Loving People, we keep the path short between the herders and the finished piece, and our tops are knit from 100% organic Mongolian cashmere. The Skin Top is the one exception worth naming, a cooler blend of silk and cashmere made for the warmest days.
Lightweight Cashmere: Light Enough for Every Season
A fine knit changes how a top wears through the year. In summer, lightweight cashmere breathes and settles softly against the skin, the kind of layer you forget you have on.
As the light shortens, the same pieces slip under a blazer or a long cardigan without adding bulk. The featherweight pointelle of the Lara Top and the fine rib of the Zanzibar Top sit at the lightest end of the range. The fiber relaxes a little with each wear and grows softer over time, which is rather the point of buying it once.
Cashmere Top Styles in the Collection
Tanks, Camisoles and Bralettes
For warm evenings and quiet layering, the sleeveless pieces carry the most skin-close ease. The Leblon Tank is our classic cashmere tank top, while the Lara Top, with its spaghetti straps and slightly cropped line, and the Lanikai camisole feel finer still.
The Steffi Sleeveless Cashmere Crew and the Malibu Top keep a fitted, clean neckline. The Makena, Margot and Zu Bralettes sit beneath an open shirt or stand alone on a hot day. They also work well for wearing solo on warmer days. For a shorter line, the Florence Top is a sleeveless cashmere crop top that pairs neatly with high-waisted trousers, with a cut that flatters the figure and keeps silhouettes clean.
Every cashmere tank top for women here layers easily under knitwear once the weather turns. A cashmere sleeveless top, in other words, is an ideal choice for versatility, whether worn solo or layered.
T Shirts, Tees and Polos
A short sleeve cashmere top is often the piece that surprises people most, and cashmere t-shirts stand out as premium everyday items because they feel soft, light, and easy to wear. The Hayley Top is fitted and cropped, with a mock neck and a ribbed band at the hem, while the Kyushu T-Shirt keeps a closer, simpler line.
The Hanalei Polo and the Mia Polo bring a soft collar to the collection, easy for casual plans yet still refined enough for a working day. Worn with wide-leg trousers, a linen skirt, or jeans, a cashmere short sleeve top offers versatile style with a quiet sense of fashion, and you can pair it with different items depending on the look you want.
Turtlenecks and Long Sleeves
When the air cools, a cashmere long sleeve top is designed to do the work of a sweater without the same weight. The Natalie Turtleneck is loose and easy with a relaxed fit, finished with hand-stitched striped detail, and the ribbed Jane Turtleneck sits closer to the body.
The fitted Gaby Sweater and Bella Sweater, both ribbed, layer with effortless sophistication under a coat, and the Rome Sweater adds a raglan shoulder. For a softer neckline, the Davos Sweater and the open-weave Mimi Sweater offer a cashmere boat neck top that frames the collarbone. The Audrey Turtleneck and the Art Cashmere Turtleneck Vest keep the high collar and leave the arms free.
Tunics and Layering Pieces
Some pieces are crafted to sit over other layers. The Daisy Tunic, a sleeveless cashmere tunic sweater with a longer line, falls easily over slim trousers or a fine turtleneck. The Nicole Sleeveless Sweater and the Dipatch Top share a high-low hem that moves as you walk.
The cropped Greta Cardigan lets you add a finishing layer to complete an outfit when the temperature drops, and the lightweight Pucket Hoodie belongs to slow mornings at home and long days on the road. Cashmere tops also layer under blazers for professional settings. A black cashmere top from the Skin, Hayley, Florence or Hanalei styles anchors nearly anything in the wardrobe, and the right combination moves easily between seasons. At 4 Loving People, we choose colors to stay in rotation for years rather than a single season.

Cashmere Tops for Women FAQs
We would rather explain what to look for than claim the title. Start with pure fiber rather than a blend. 2-ply cashmere is the standard for everyday wear. Then ask where the fiber comes from and who combed it. Fiber from Mongolia, hand-combed from the winter undercoat of free-roaming goats, is valued for its length and softness. A brand that can trace the path from herder to finished cashmere top gives you more to trust than one that speaks only in adjectives. At 4 Loving People, we partner with herding families in Mongolia and knit our tops from organic Mongolian cashmere for lasting quality and the feel of luxurious cashmere.
In our collection, cashmere tops range from $125 for the Zu Bralette to $520 for the Daisy Tunic, the Audrey Turtleneck and the Rome Sweater. The difference is mostly fiber: a bralette or tank uses far less yarn than a turtleneck, and the making of a textured knit takes longer to finish. That is why a top is often the gentlest way into pure cashmere. Organic, traceable fiber asks more than a blend at the outset, and high-quality cashmere is remarkably resilient and can last for many years.
Both are natural fibers, and both have their place, though cotton lacks the deep thermal insulation of cashmere. Merino, from sheep, is springy and hard-wearing, which suits active layers and frequent washing. Cashmere is finer and softer, with warmth that feels light for its weight, natural breathability, lasting comfort, quiet luxury, a luxurious feel, and a gentler drape at the shoulder and hem. For a top worn directly against the skin, most people find it the more comfortable of the two. If warm weather is the main concern, our lightweight cashmere tops are the place to begin, and an ideal choice for those who prefer softness against the skin.
Yes. A fine-knit tank offers natural breathability and helps regulate temperature, so it stays comfortable in the heat and when a breeze picks up at night. That is why so much of this collection is sleeveless or short-sleeved for warmer days. A short sleeve cashmere top like the Hayley Top, or the strappy Lara Top, can be worn solo or styled with linen and denim for an easy outfit on warm afternoons. The silk-blend Skin Top feels cooler still. Our sleeveless cashmere tops gather every warm-weather option in one place.
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle soap made for delicate fibers. Cashmere is relatively high-maintenance and needs gentle care to help prevent pilling. Turn fine tops inside out, swirl rather than scrub, and press the water out without wringing. Lay the piece flat on a towel to dry, away from direct heat, and store it folded rather than hung. Most of our tops can also be dry cleaned, and the Skin Top, with its silk content, is dry clean only. Our cashmere care guide covers each step in full, with guidance for maintaining softness and shape over time.
